EdisonFormat is a project dedicated to the Edison format of Yu-Gi-Oh!, built with the goal of being a clear, well-organized, and reliable resource for anyone who wants to read, study, and get a better understanding of this format, whether they’re starting from scratch or already at a more advanced level.

There’s already a lot of information about the format out there, but it’s often scattered across forums, videos, dedicated groups, and discussions that are hard to track down. EdisonFormat exists to bring some order to all of that. The result is content that’s more structured, easier to browse, and more enjoyable to read.

The site is organized into three main areas.

The blog section collects articles, analysis, commentary on the format, and more generally the more editorial pieces. The wiki section hosts more stable content: explanations of mechanics, core concepts, references you can come back to over time. The section dedicated to rulings covers, in an increasingly systematic way, card interactions, edge cases, and the recurring questions that come up during play.

Behind the content on this blog there’s research, hands-on experience with the format, and comparison with existing resources and top players. The goal is absolutely not to just repeat what’s already out there, but to pick out what’s actually useful, verify it, and present it in a clearer and more consistent way, so there’s less confusion and fewer wrong interpretations. On top of that, we want to be upfront that everything published on this site is written by humans: we don’t use AI to generate content, or to write articles or wiki entries.

EdisonFormat is a project that keeps growing over time. New articles, wiki entries, and deep dives get added progressively, and the site is turning into one of the main resources for anyone who wants to seriously learn about the Edison format, without giving up on the pleasure of reading well-written content.
